The Dog Fanciers Association of Oregon was formed to promote the educational features and protective measures involved in the proper care, trialing, and breeding of purebred dogs; to foster interest in the trialing and showing of purebred dogs both on the bench and in the field; to conduct, participate in and cooperate in the holding of field trials, contests, bench shows, and exhibitions for dogs.
The Dog Fanciers’ Association of Oregon has been holding dog events since 1939 (85 years!), most of that time at the Portland Expo Center.

Our biggest event of the year is the Rose City Classic dog shows in January at the Portland Expo Center in conjunction with the Cascade McKenzie Dog Fanciers. Many types of dog sports are offered, conformation, obedience, rally, agility, scent work, and temperament testing, along with a chance to Meet the Breeds.
