Welcome!

The Dog Fanciers Association of Oregon was formed to promote the educational features and protective measures involved in the proper care, trialing, and breeding of purebred dogs; to foster interest in the trialing and showing of purebred dogs both on the bench and in the field; to conduct, participate in and cooperate in the holding of field trials, contests, bench shows, and exhibitions for dogs.

The Dog Fanciers’ Association of Oregon has been holding dog events since 1939 (85 years!), most of that time at the Portland Expo Center.

Meeting Times

Meeting times and locations are changing. In response to our survey, most meetings are going to be via Zoom to allow more members to attend and will begin at 7:00 PM. The calendar to the right lists all meetings and if you click on the meeting, the Zoom link will be there.
In-person meetings will still be at the Holiday Inn, but now begin at 7:30 PM.

Sad News

We are sad to report that longtime DFAO member Sally Crino, has passed away.  Her funeral will be held Friday, July 26th at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 9905 SW. McKenzie Street St, Tigard.  There is no obituary posted at this time.

Our biggest event of the year is the Rose City Classic dog shows in January at the Portland Expo Center in conjunction with the Tualatin Kennel Club. We offer many phases of dog sports, from conformation, obedience, rally, agility, scent work, and temperament testing, along with a chance to Meet the Breeds. Go to the Rose City Classic website for specifics.
